I am not ashamed that I sit on the internet gawking at all of the cities around the world I want to visit. You shouldn’t be either. After all, something really nice usually comes from these gawk-sessions: wishlists. Since I lodge nearly exclusively with Airbnb on solo travel, I had to go there to make the wishlist. To be honest, it started with European destinations in mind and spread out to encompass a 2016-2017 travel bucket list instead and spans multiple countries. If you’re unfamiliar with Airbnb, read here how it always saves me loads on my travel budget here.
It’s pretty easy to set yourself up and only look at the budget and expenses for lodging. When you book your next destination, remember that it matters where you stay. Don’t just check for great ratings (though this will always be very important), check to see if you can get the most from the location too. It’s better to spend an extra penny if you know that you get to stay somewhere that has much character as you have as a traveler.
