Who takes your photos? What do you shoot with?
For the most part, I take my own photos. I do, however, bug my husband for photos of myself and typically shout comments like, “no, take it from this angle! Lower the aperture!” He’s still married to me so things are going well. I shoot with whatever lens is already attached to my camera. It’s already there, you know?
What is your background/heritage?
My father is German and my mother is a whole-lotta diverse goodness but primarily African American.
If you don’t make it, do you have a back up plan?
No. I guess I will stick with my day job but that was already the plan.
How old are you?
I ask myself that very question every day. I feel 21. I just know that 30 is my next milestone.
Where have you traveled to?
Where do I start? I have been all across the United States, Canada, Cozumel, Jamaica, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, and many other places.
May I use your photos on my blog?
Sure, as long as you credit back to Culture In Theory. If you are a business or company, please contact me via email here.
Where did the name Culture In Theory come from?
I was driving back from a revival in Mississippi and I knew I wanted to create a place for cultural enthusiasm. I didn’t want to get stuck on a name, I just wanted to try out the idea. That’s where the words’in theory’ came from.
What happened to the magazine?
It’s right where I left it. It has a permannet home on my computer desk and who knows, it may resurface. I had to make a choice mid 2015 and I think I chose wisely: instead of writing about a culturally vibrant life in a magazine I decided to live it.
Do you drink coffee?
If I didn’t, there would be a PSA out by now.
